Job Description

Job Purpose

To render robust PR and communications to support MDEC’s overall initiatives. The primary focus of this role will be content creation and putting together MDEC’s storytelling and narratives.

The role will also entail serving the CEO’s and Chairman’s office and other assigned duties within the PR and communications scope.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Development of effective and strategic PR plans & key messages in support of MDEC’s narratives.
  • To manage the PR & Contents team to ensure timely delivery of contents and execution of communication strategies and plans.
  • Planning, strategising and creation of contents to be disseminated & pitched to media.
  • Management of relations with key media.
  • Manage and elevate MDEC’s brand proposition leading to overall positive public perceptions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications/ PR/ Media or related fields or relevant experience in this specialised field.
  • A senior PR & Communications practitioner.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Fully competent in conceptualising and executing 360° PR campaigns
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) in English, BM. Proficiency in other languages will be an added advantage.
  • A well networked individual (media, agencies, etc)
