Job Purpose

Duties & Responsibilities

Project managers have the responsibility of the planning, procurement and execution of a project, in any undertaking that has a defined scope, defined start and a defined finish;

Project managers are first point of contact for any issues or discrepancies, arising from within the heads of various departments in an organization before the problem escalates to higher authorities, as project representative.

  • Effectively build, leverage, and support team under management through the project lifecycle
  • Partner with Architects, System Analyst, Developers, suppliers and other IT teams to design and implement the application
  • Manage monthly project / program health check for analyses on financial, risk and progress
  • Provide work effort estimates and consulting services to business partners
  • Develop project plan to ensure that all technical tasks are included
  • Manage project costs, anticipate risks and track them using the appropriate methodology
  • Raise and track issues and conflicts, remove barriers and escalate to appropriate level where required
  • Maintain documentation records / registers / repositories in order
  • Ensure compliance to Corporate Governance requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in any Science or Engineering field
  • Minimum 5 years  experience in managing IT Projects, vendor management, outsourcing engagement
  • Certification/ membership from Project Management Institute‚Äôs (PMI), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP), SCRUM, AGILE, PRINCE, ITIL will be an added advantage
