Job Purpose

The incumbent is responsible to process MSC Business Services applications. The incumbent is required to complete due diligence on all applications before presenting to the Approval Committee for decision.  

Approved applications will then be used for visa at MDEC Expats Centre, in which MDEC revenue is generated.

Duties & Responsibilities

1.  Submission of MSC Business Services applications

  • Facilitate and provide consultation to applicants in submitting online application process. 

2. Due-diligence on MSC Business Services applications

  • Perform documentation completeness check on submitted applications. Document includes SSM’s documents, financial audited accounts, financial management account, business profile, and etc.
  • Conduct due-diligence activities for new or existing companies. Provide review through comprehensive feedback based on the submitted application details.
  • Analyse the business and financial aspects of the applications to determine the value-adds of the proposal i.e. innovation, uniqueness, scalability, impact to industry vs country and etc. 

3. Presentation to the Approval Committee 

4. Perform additional due diligence, special assignment, ad-hoc functions and related duties as and when necessary. 

Qualifications

  • Degree holder in IT/ Business Studies, Finance & Accounting IT/ Business Studies, Finance & Accounting 
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience
