Data Labs Project Manager

Job Purpose

Provide effective facilitation, coordination and execution of Data Labs, with emphasis on digital agriculture technologies (AgTech) as well as other identified sectors, to drive adoption of data technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Product Development
  • To facilitate the development of data technology products, solutions or services for targeted sectors/ verticals 
  • To assist in identifying and on-boarding new digital technology partners and potential stakeholders
  • To facilitate the implementation of digital technology projects through effective planning and coordination of all stakeholders, technology partners and ecosystem enablers
  2. Implementation & Business Support
  • To assist in the collaboration engagements with relevant channel partners and potential adopters that will lead to active and quality participation in the Data Labs
  • To maintain a high-level engagement and follow-up with new channel partners (local and international), stakeholders and Data Lab participants
  • To facilitate dissemination and inform partners and Data Lab participants on updated programs and new processes
  • To facilitate the deployment of the pilot project scope as per the agreed scope and timelines
3. Performance Tracking & Monitoring
  • To assist in managing on the sustainability of the Data Lab participants, through effective coordination and monitoring of training program with all relevant partners
  • To assist in reviewing and validating the pilot project reports in ensuring the target outcomes are achieved
  • To assist in monitoring the quality of the Data Lab participants and increase their income, productivity, etc, through implementation of:               

                i. Digital Economy and Digital Adoption   

                ii.  Any other sustainable and/or scalable approach/interventions

4. Others
  • Facilitate the effective achievement of team goals by participating as an effective team member and contributing valuable information and analyses, i.e. global markets, technological developments and more
  • Assist to extend valuable contributions to team outcomes by conducting research and making diligent analyses
  • Ensure that processes facilitate outcomes effectively by administering efficiently and providing alternatives where applicable
  • Assist in contribution towards process efficiencies by reviewing them and making recommendations for improvements
  • Ensure professional integrity by championing processes and ensuring that governance and compliance standards are applied and adhered to
  • Facilitating the collaborations in ecosystem engagements, strategy paper development where applicable


  1. Graduate with at least 3 years of working experience preferably in technology business-related function and/or ICT sector with experience in project implementation
  2. Experience in working with industry partners and/or public-private sector initiatives are added advantages

Competency Required

Technical Skills / Knowledge Specialization:

  • Programme and project management framework, i.e. PMBOK, ITIL, etc.
  • Specialize in key technologies for related community
  • Business analysis and due diligence
  • Report writing

Soft skills:

  • Effective communication skill (written and spoken)
  • Internal and External Customer Orientation
  • Fast learner and able to work under pressure
  • High EQ
