Job Purpose

The primary role is to facilitate and execute the implementation of eInvoicing on an interoperability framework, and to support other Digitalisation initiatives under the National eCommerce Strategic Roadmap (NESR) 2.0

Duties & Responsibilities

1) National eInvoicing Initiative Implementation

  • To facilitate the development of business requirements and compile feedback from service providers and stakeholders
  • To review the systems requirements of eInvoicing interoperable framework for implementation in Malaysia
  • To execute implementation plan according to eInvoicing framework requirements
  • To engage and facilitate the adoption of eInvoicing among local businesses
  • To enhance domain knowledge in eInvoicing and able to provide strategic feedback on the subject
  • To conduct desktop research, identify best practices, external trends and case studies that are relevant to eInvoicing implementation in Malaysia

2) Project Management

  • To execute the implementation of various workstreams under the NESR 2.0 approved programme according to planned milestones and timeline
  • To prepare relevant documentations and provide comprehensive updates regarding project implementation
  • To prepare relevant documentations (e.g. meeting minutes, procurement-related documentations) and ensure projects are implemented in an integrated and coordinated manner, with alignment to corporate policies, standards and guidelines
  • To assist the Manager in managing risks & issues arising from National eInvoicing Initiative
  • To work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project milestones and escalate any gaps/delays/issues in a timely manner

3) Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting

  • To prepare various reports for internal and external stakeholder consumption
  • To assist in disseminating timely and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • To coordinate engagements with internal and external stakeholders related to the initiatives

4) Others

  • To support the execution of other projects and assignments as and when required


  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT/Business/Management or other related fields
  • Experience in eCommerce, eInvoicing, Finance, Business and Trade documents will be an added advantage
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Works well with colleagues and adaptable to cross-functional roles
  • Able to work efficiently under minimal supervision
  • Hardworking and proactive in executing assigned tasks
  • Strong relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Power BI, Word and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of Industry Dynamics, Business Issues and Technology with respect to eCommerce
