Job Purpose

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Research and Intelligence: Market and business intelligence to provide input into the development of strategic plans for the Digital Creative Content Division (DCC) and their execution for the growth of the digital content industry

  • Data collection and analysis of market, technology and business models, public policies and existing programmes that affect the Industry and complex issues such as funding matters, talent and competency, among others (Non-exhaustive)
  • Carry out comparative analysis and best practice analysis for benchmarking purposes on matters affecting the growth of the Industry
  • Assist in crafting of possible solutions to bridge existing gaps within the ecosystem and proposing recommendations for policy actions.
  • Collation and analysis of corporate data for data-driven insights and to enable decision-making
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports for internal and external stakeholders


2. Research Portfolio Management: Ensure efficient portfolio pipeline and engagement of companies

  • Develop leads for future research and communications opportunities such as assisting in gathering market trends and conduct analysis to develop portfolio plans and industry development strategies
  • To build rapport and engage companies on a periodic basis to ascertain issues and challenges
  • Manage Portfolio of Clients and potential investors while maintaining a healthy pipeline to achieve assigned targets


3. Engagement Planning & Implementation: Facilitate the increase in engagement and outreach of DCC efforts within the digital content and creative technologies industry

  • Develop collaterals and pieces around the research items that was worked on by the unit and the deparatment
  • Identify and execute programs to drive awareness as well as to achieve division KPIs and objectives
  • Develop research based collaterals, presentations as well as curate content to drive greater engagement with industry and community at large
  • Monitor the rollout of communications activities and measurement of its effectiveness
  • Design, develop and deliver campaigns that will create compelling messages that will further enhance Malaysia’s digital content and creative technologies industry internationally


4. Communications & Stakeholder Management: Support the development and coordination of communications plans 

  • Provide inputs for PR and communications plans to position Malaysia as a creative content and technology hub
  • Stakeholder engagement & management: continual relationship management of key industry and government stakeholders to understand their requirements to enable better communications strategy
  • Determine multi-channel communications plans and execution to enhance the brand value of DCC efforts


5. Operational Excellence: Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness

  • Ensure accurate and effective information and data repository 
  • Ensure process improvements and efficiency in executing Marketing & Communications activities


6. Learning and Growth: Actively enhance personal development of skills and acquisition of knowledge

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of experience with domain expertise in the digital creative content industry

Bachelor’s Degree in any related fields
