Business Analyst/ Scrum Master

Job Purpose

Duties & Responsibilities

  • a) Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for internal and external stakeholders 

  • b) Project Budgeting and forecasting 

  • c) Project Planning and monitoring 

  • d) Variance analysis 

  • e) Project Reporting 

  • f) Defining business requirements and reporting them back to stakeholders 

  • g) Guides and coaches the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers. 

  • h) Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques. 

  • i) Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines. 

  • j) Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team. 

  • k) Works with Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams. 

  • l) Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization. 

  • m) Works with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role. 

  • n) Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization. 

  • o) Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. 

  • p) Acts as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams assigned to mainly Business as Usual (BAU) work and to a lesser degree, important department initiatives and applicable portions of corporate projects and initiatives. 


  • Must possess a Degree / Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent. 
  • Preferably Senior Executive specializing in IT Computer - Software or equivalent;
  • Background and experience in with outlined technologies to create sustainable processes
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
  • Experience with Web Service and good understanding in design concepts using UML, ER/EER, design patterns is added advantage.
  • Good knowledge with Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC)
