Job Description

Job Purpose

The Senior Executive will act as the senior digital designer and will be responsible for the execution of graphic designs and artwork for mainly digital mediums. The designs include graphics and artwork for digital advertising and marketing campaigns for display and social ads. This includes design and development of graphics for digital ads, resizing and cropping of visuals for adaptation across various ad formats and basic animation work for dynamic ads.

The role works closely with multiple stakeholders across the Corporate Communications Division, various project teams throughout the organisation, as well as external agency partners. The successful candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, analytical skills (to articulate project brief), sharp in details of work and constantly updated with the latest creative development in the market, software and computer technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Support and lead areas of responsibilities with the Performance Manager
  2. Create key visual assets i.e. design and create banners and collaterals, animations, emails, interactive displays and etc. on various digital platforms
  3. Work alongside other designers and stakeholders to execute campaign visuals
  4. Create and execute concepts for traditional and digital advertising
  5. Generate ideas to portray concepts, advertise products/services and digital content
  6. Be a custodian of all things creative including brand identity
  7. Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics
  8. Create images that identify a product or convey a message
  9. Develop/refine images, fonts, text style, colours and layouts using graphic design software and to determine the message the design should portray
  10. Develop graphics for product illustrations, advertising and recruitment campaigns
  11. Present the design to internal stakeholders and Performance Manager
  12. Incorporate changes recommended by stakeholders into the final designs
  13. Keep abreast of competitors’ work, staying up to date on industry trends and the latest digital design softwares
  14. Review designs for errors before printing or publishing
  15. Design digital assets, test, and optimise based on performance

Qualifications

  1. 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in in-house professional digital design, creative or design firm as a Senior Designer, Digital Designer, Graphic Designer or similar role
  2. Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in creative design, digital design, graphic design, visual art or related fields
  3. Expertise in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite software and UI/UX tools such as Sketch, Balsamiq, InVision or similar
  4. Familiar in creating HTML5 banners and ad creatives in other digital formats
  5. Ability in developing animation is an added bonus

  1. Experience creating digital assets with wide breadth for a variety of target audiences
  2. Knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design
  3. Conceptualising visuals based on requirements
  4. Understanding of digital and print mediums, as well as creative execution
  5. Ability to create and produce graphic materials using a range of media, methods, techniques, and equipment based on agreed brief
  6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  7. Thorough and precise in producing work with good attention to detail
  8. Creative and able to alter styles to reflect the target audience
  9. Good organisational, project management and time management skills
  10. Ability to identify and interpret graphic design needs and develop creative and responsive design concepts
  11. Ability to develop complex, integrated design specifications
  12. Knowledge of available external graphic design, and associated resources
  13. Knowledge of graphic layout and photographic requirements and procedures
